Saint George Opera is also dedicated to education.  We hope to continue to expand musical arts opportunities for the community and surrounding areas.

 

Education Objectives

To implement an education and outreach policy, in partnership with external agencies, and in collaboration with SGO directors and volunteers, which will help 

          (a) education audiences about the art of opera,

          (b) provide opportunities for artistic growth to children and community members

               through the opera theatre medium,

          (c) entertain, enrich, and educate children and community members   

          (d) place Saint George Opera at the center of a wider campaign to ensure that the arts

               are accessible to as many people as possible in Southern Utah and surrounding area communities.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Regular outreach concerts are performed by Saint George Opera artists for local civic, social, and service clubs as well as for area business functions and special occasions, making performances more accessible to the community.  To learn more about bringing an outreach concert to your community by emailing saintgeorgeopera@gmail.com.

HOW TO JOIN?
1. Fill out the YFO Audition form.
2. Once audition is accepted, register.
 
 
TWO performance videos:
These can be a stage solo song or stand and sing. Both types are encouraged. 
Note: Once you submit your audition application, you will be contacted about official membership in YFO within a week.

Yearly membership fee: $50*

 

*We do not want the fee to stop anyone who wishes from joining. Should this prove a financial hardship, please contact Director Nielsen to discuss fee waiver.
